1. A student-only marketplace

UnivHive is intended solely for the IIM Jammu student community. Accounts are limited to verified @iimj.ac.in email addresses, and access may be withdrawn if an account is shared or misused.

2. Product responsibility

Once a product is handed over, the buyer or renter is responsible for taking reasonable care of it.

Buyers should review the listing description, photos and stated condition before confirming a purchase.

3. Damage, loss and rentals

Rented products must be returned in substantially the same condition, allowing for normal wear and tear.

If a rented product is lost, damaged or destroyed beyond reasonable wear and tear, the user may be required to compensate the owner for the applicable repair or replacement cost.

UnivHive facilitates the transaction between students; the transaction itself remains governed by applicable law.

4. Transactions are not instantaneous

Payment verification, seller confirmation, admin review and product handover may each require additional time.

A listing becomes visible only after admin approval, and an order is marked complete only after the admin confirms that payment has been verified and the product handed over.

5. Payments

Payments must be made only through the official UnivHive payment method shown on the payment page.

Do not pay a seller directly. Payments made outside UnivHive cannot be verified, tracked or supported.

6. Seller responsibility

Sellers are responsible for accurately describing their products, prices, discounts, available quantity and condition, and for honouring listings that have been approved.

7. Buyer responsibility

Buyers are responsible for selecting the correct quantity and reviewing all listing details before confirming a purchase.

8. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are subject to the applicable UnivHive transaction policy and are reviewed by the admin on a case-by-case basis.

9. Prohibited items

Illegal, dangerous, restricted or institute-prohibited goods and services may not be listed. Such listings will be rejected or removed.

10. Pricing

Listing prices shown to buyers are final and inclusive of UnivHive's marketplace charges. Sellers set their own base price and any discount they wish to offer.

11. Privacy

Private information such as UPI IDs, phone numbers and payment details is never displayed publicly on the marketplace. It is visible only to you and, where required to complete or verify a transaction, to the UnivHive admin.

12. Moderation

The UnivHive admin may approve, reject, edit, hide or remove listings, and may cancel orders where a transaction cannot be verified.
